The Bellagio: A Fountain of Fun in Las Vegas

The Bellagio: A Fountain of Fun in Las Vegas

After a business trip to Salt Lake City, UT for Sundance, Joe and I decided to hop over to Vegas for a few nights.  We were right there, it would have been a sin if we didn't.  Our hotel of choice, The Bellagio.  Located in the center of the strip and famous for the fountains that are beautifully choreographed to music, the hotel had everything we were looking for from food to fitness.

Book Club: Paulo Coelho's Veronika Decides to Die

This year, I'm adding a new series to the blog, a book club!  I have a book shelf near my desk where I keep the most inspiring books that I've read to help cultivate creative energy in my office. One of my resolutions for this year is to spend more time reading (I'm truly a book nerd when I allow myself the time to get lost.) and will be sharing my favorites with you.

New Year, Rejuvenated You

New Year, Rejuvenated You

Since the beginning of December, my inbox has been flooded with pitches titled, "New Year, New You," which I've written a thousand times myself, but these stories tend to point us toward products for makeovers and weight loss tips in order to find fulfillment and happiness.  The turn of the year however, isn't about finding happiness through fleeting vices.  Instead, it's a reminder to reflect on your lifestyle and set intentions to make necessary changes in order to live more beautifully.  So welcome, "New Year, Rejuvenated You," because you're already awesome.

How to Keep (and Achieve) Your New Year's Resolution

How to Keep (and Achieve) Your New Year's Resolution

Have you thought about your New Year's resolution yet?  Each year I sit down and make a list of bigger picture "resolutions" and smaller things I hope to accomplish within the year. Last year, becoming a certified yoga teacher and holistic health coach, launching a new business and going to a Taylor Swift concert all make the list – Done.  Done.  Done.  And done.  All of these things were easy to cross off the list once finished, but some "resolutions" were bigger, self improvement challenges that I needed a strategy for.  So here it is.  I hope it helps you, too.

A Christmas Wish for Peace

A Christmas Wish for Peace

As my husband and I enjoy the holiday season, going to see the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center, watching Billy Joel perform at MSG and attending countless celebrations with family and friends, I'm reminded everyday how lucky we are in a world of complete chaos and unrest.  For me, and I'm sure for most of you as well, it's becoming increasingly harder understand the hate in this world and it's with a heavy heart and hopeful soul that I write this post.

Soul Candy: Rescue Dogs

Soul Candy: Rescue Dogs

This "Soul Candy" series is my favorite feature. I'm so glad that I added to the blog this year.  Your stories keep pouring in and I feel grateful to be able to share good news and random acts of kindness with all of you.  This one was written by a woman who regularly adopts senior dogs in order to give them a wonderful last few years and will make you want to run to the nearest shelter to help!
